Combine the Tempura Batter Mix with the water and stir well to remove most of the lumps. Ideally use the batter immediately and do not leave to stand.
Heat the oil in a wok or deep fat fryer to 160ºC.
Dip the strips of shredded beef into the batter to coat, then immediately place the battered beef into the wok/fryer to deep fry. Do this in batches to not overload the pan. Cook Time: 2-3 minutes or until golden brown.
Dry on a rack and serve immediately.
Serve with a dipping sauce such as soy sauce or teriyaki.
