The Whisky Barrel coffee by Ovenbird Coffee Roasters is aged in freshly emptied whisky barrels from Auchentoshan distillery and Laphroaig distillery from Islay in Scotland. The beans are hand-rotated daily to ensure all the coffee comes into contact with the oak barrel over the course of several weeks.

After ageing the green beans, they are computer-free roasted to a medium roast (full city), which Ovenbird feels produces the perfect balance of whisky and coffee flavour.

It is the perfect complement to a chocolaty dessert or morning coffee and tastes great with oat/soya milk. Unfortunately no alcohol folks. Sorry !
